My
road to success has been rough and full of countless
wrong turns. Many of my true fans who have followed
my life, know all too well about my struggles
along the way. It has not been easy, but I have
persevered. I no longer dwell on the things
that can hold me back in life but cherish the
possibilities of what I can become and who I
can help along the way. I also believe that
our lives should be lived as to not avoid problems,
but welcome them instead as challenges that
will strengthen us to become victorious in all
our future endeavors.
As
a teen I needed better guidance, but never seemed
to find the proper leadership and direction
that I longed for. I’ve had my trials
and tribulations, and with each obstacle, I
have become stronger and passionate about what
I believe in. What I needed as a teen I can
now offer to those young adults who need the
same support I desired growing up.
It
is this same passion that fuels me to become
not only a better father to my son, but become
a role model to those who need me. When I started
my gym back in Santa Cruz, CA, I never imagined
how hard the responsibilities would be. I tried
to balance family, work, and my passion for
bodybuilding. I made many mistakes along the
way, but I never lost focus of my desire to
become a Pro Bodybuilder. It was the only thing
that kept me going. From the loss of my gym
to my pec tear at the peak of my career, it
was all these challenges that helped me understand
what I needed to do.
I
have made amends with the things that are significant
in my life. I live each day raising my son so
that he understands the importance of helping
others and the fulfillment one attains by being
a better person. I value my family, my friends,
and the life I have made for myself, and I look
forward to a positive and rewarding future. |

As many of you know, 2007 was a busy year for
me. I accomplished my dream of becoming an IFBB
Pro Bodybuilder in the place where it all started
for me, Dallas, TX. My long road to success began
here, ten years ago at my very first national
show. I never gave up on my dream. It was because
of this dedication and commitment that I was able
to step on stage at the 25th Annual National Bodybuilding
Championships and taste the taste of victory.
I was ultimately hooked and hungry for more…..
In
2008 I jumped head first into the ranks making
my PRO debut at the Arnold Classic. Critics
thought I was INSANE!! Others including myself
felt what better place to get my “feet”
wet!! There was no way I could turn down such
an honorable invite, so I pushed my body beyond
its limit, and along the way, learned a very
valuable lesson. Now that I have been on stage
with those I truly respect and admire in the
sport, I can now focus on improving my physique
and accomplishing my next goal-to win my first
PRO Show.
My
outlook for 2009 will definitely be a year for
positive change and growth. I’ve learned
a great deal about myself, my determination,
my perseverance, and my devotion to the sport
of bodybuilding and to my many fans. Be ready
for me, because in 2009 I plan on being back
on stage. Bigger, better, and ready to battle.
Thank
you to my family, friends, and all my loyal
fans. From the bottom of my heart, I want to
thank my mother Michelle and father Steve for
always believing in me. A personal thank you
to Beatrice for all her support, hard work,
and dedication in helping me achieve my dreams.
And I want to especially thank my wonderful
son Cameron who I continue to strive and work
hard for each and every day so that he understands
how much I truly love him. To all my supporters
and fans, without you I could not be in a happier
place in life. It is all of you that drive me
to be better at the sport I hold so close to
my heart. Thank You.
